Analytic solution of the Kramers problem

S. V. Gulakova1, V. N. Popov2

AnnotationIn the framework of kinetic approach the analytic solution (in the form of a series Neumann) of the problem of isothermal slip gas along a hard, flat surface (Kramers's problem) is built. The linearized BGK (Bhatnagar, Gross, Krook) model of Boltzmann's kinetic equation as the main equation and the model of mirror-diffuse reflection as boundary conditions on the surface are used. For different values of the coefficient of diffusely the speed of isothermal slip gas along the surface is calculated and the profiles of mass velocity are built. The comparison with similar results, published in the open press is done.
KeywordsBoltzmann kinetic equation, model kinetic equations, exact analytical decisions, models of boundary conditions
